The MPTS provides the adjudication function for UK doctors. We protect patients by making independent decisions about a doctor’s fitness to practise, measured against professional standards set by the GMC. We have powers to impose sanctions on a doctor’s practice, where necessary, to protect the public. |
Are you naturally personable and well-organised? Do you have excellent writing skills? If you also have a strong background in supporting Committees/Boards/Tribunals, you should consider joining the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) in Manchester as a Tribunal Clerk.
You’ll be instrumental in providing sound support to our Medical Practitioners Tribunals. You will be involved in a range of tasks including:
Significant experience using programs like MS Office and bespoke databases are essential, as is your understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations. You’ll need to maintain a sensitive and professional approach at all times, and have the confidence to contribute feedback that might affect and improve internal processes too. Maintaining confidentiality is essential.
The scheduled start date for these positions is 14th June. All successful candidates will need to be available for full time induction for the first seven weeks of their employment.
