Quality Assurance Officer (GMC3469)

Quality Assurance Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to make the most of your quality assurance skills. As a Quality Assurance Officer at the GMC, you’ll champion our commitment to quality, continually raise standards and help to shape and deliver our Quality Development and Assurance Strategy.

The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.

Putting your QA expertise into action, you’ll carry out quality control audits and quality assurance reviews of our casework, decisions, processes and procedures. This lead role in our QA team will involve implementing different tools and techniques.

Analysing information and statistical data, you’ll prepare reports, review findings and recommend ways we can do things even better. Advising on best practice and providing an excellent QA service to your colleagues, you’ll also lead meetings and provide clear guidance and support.

We are looking for a confident communicator and multitasker who can use their own initiative and has wide-ranging experience of quality control, quality assurance and different tools and techniques.

With a good understanding of risk management, you should be able to make sound proposals and clearly communicate complex issues. You’ll also need excellent analytical, prioritisation and relationship building skills.

A great company to work for, we can offer you good opportunities to develop your skills and career. For more information about what we can offer, click here.

A registered charity, we value diversity and inclusion because our differences make us stronger. So, our processes are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination.
