Survey Design Manager

As a key member of the Data, Systems and Quality team, you will provide the expertise that gives rigour to our national training survey programme. You will play a crucial role in the development and design of surveys to support the quality assurance systems regulating medical education across the UK. You will manage the design and testing of questionnaires, from the point of scoping and research through implementation and analysis of results. You will be responsible for ensuring that, in our survey work, good practice is followed, work is based on sound social research principles and academic rigour is demonstrated.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience and reputational credibility in the field of social research. You will help forge the GMC’s reputation as a standard-bearer for good practice in survey design, in the field of medical education quality assurance in the UK. Working with a wide range of survey stakeholders – both within the GMC and other organisations responsible for medical education – you will require strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective, supportive and collaborative relationships.
