Working with doctors, working for patients

Project Manager x 3

The General Medical Council (GMC) regulate all stages of doctors' training and professional development in the UK. We promote high standards and ensure that medical education and training reflects the needs of patients, medical students and trainees, and the health service.

We are looking to appoint three project managers to lead a new programme of work, including the development of a new cycle of quality assurance and an operational approach for credentialing. These roles will play a key part in ensuring that our approach to the regulation and quality assurance of medical education and training is robust and effective, promotes excellence and redefines the processes by which organisations responsible for medical education and training, will demonstrate that they meet our standards.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a proven project manager with a good understanding of the relevant tools, techniques and methodologies involved. More specifically, you’ll need experience of working on wide-ranging, workshop-based projects spanning multiple sites, with many different stakeholders.

Every bit as important as your practical experience, however, will be the professional skills and personal qualities you bring to the role. Highly organised with excellent planning and problem-solving skills, you’ll need to be a natural communicator, both in writing and person, and have the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at every level.

In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. We offer an attractive salary and benefits package.

The GMC values diversity and has made a public commitment to processes and procedures that are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination. The GMC is a charity registered in England and Wales (1089278) and Scotland (SC037750).
