Play a vital role in informing understanding of risks in the healthcare environment, at the organisation that's at the heart of patient safety.

The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.

As Stakeholder Intelligence Sharing Manager, we will look to you to help shape and influence data sharing forums between healthcare regulators. You’ll highlight and gather data for use in risk modelling, creating usable insight to inform the GMC’s strategic approach to identifying risks in the healthcare environment. To do this you’ll need to build networks with other regulators and healthcare organisations around data sharing, risk modelling and collective assurance. This role will be critical in the provision of analytical and statistical expertise across the organisation and your work help the GMC deliver measurable benefits of data sharing and risk analysis.

To be a success in this role you’ll need well developed networking, relationship building and negotiation skills and the tact and diplomacy required to provide challenging feedback when necessary. You’ll have substantial experience at a managerial level of working in insight and research, and developing data sharing agreements, along with a sound understanding of the use of evidence and intelligence. You’ll also be an accomplished communicator who is able to speak with authority and present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, both in and out of the GMC

In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. We offer an attractive salary and benefits package.

The GMC values diversity and has made a public commitment to processes and procedures that are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination. The GMC is a charity registered in England and Wales (1089278) and Scotland (SC037750).
