Regional Liaison Service Administrator (GMC3311)

Regional Liaison Service Administrator

The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.

Our Regional Liaison Service delivers interactive teaching sessions to doctors and medical students throughout England on the General Medical Council's (GMC) standards and ethical guidance. The Regional Liaison Service explains the role of the GMC as a medical regulator and engages with doctors so that their views and experiences inform the work of the GMC.

As an administrator in the Regional Liaison Service, you will be responsible for supporting the Regional Liaison Advisers (who work remotely). Each day can be different which requires you to be responsive to the changing needs of the team. A typical day will involve diary, event and meeting support, making travel and accommodation bookings, inputting data and intelligence generated by RLA sessions into a database, and a variety of ad hoc tasks.

To be successful in this role you will be keen to develop good working relationships, have a strong sense of initiative and show a passion for the support and wellbeing of your colleagues. You will have excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office packages) and a willingness to learn. You will be comfortable prioritising a busy workload, responding to conflicting deadlines and enjoy working collaboratively with your teammates.

In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. Within our friendly environment, you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities designed to support your ongoing progression.  You’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people.
